On 17th and 18th of November Warsaw will once again become the capital city of the meetings industry. All this due to the XIII edition of the largest and oldest business trade fairs in Poland - MEETINGS POLAND EXPO 2010. This unparalleled event in Poland is not only an important date on the calendar of any meeting professional, but also a true celebration of our industry!
Warsaw Convention Bureau has the pleasure of inviting you to the conference on: „Making use of great events for increasing city's attractiveness in the context of the meetings industry. Case study of Warsaw and other European cities" which will be held on the first day of the fairs from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm in the Warsaw EXPO Centre XXI (Room C, 1st floor).
The conference will be divided into 2 parts – presentations of domestic and foreign speakers, describing marketing activities of Warsaw and other European cities from the prespective of significant cultural, political and sport events, which will be followed by a discussion panel. We expect that the conference will generate interesting conclusions and recommendations that will increase the effectiveness of future marketing activities in the light of upcoming events – Polish Presidency in the Council of European Union 2011, the Year of Chemistry 2011 under the patronage of Maria Skłodowska – Curie, the UEFA Euro 2012 - European Football Championships, Warsaw's efforts towards becoming the European Capital of Culture 2016 and will contribute to making Warsaw more attractive for business tourism. We hope that matters which will be brought up will stimulate an animated discussion between all of the participants.
The subject of the conference is addressed towards representatives of the public and private sector dealing with marketing and promotion, conference and incentive programmes organisers as well as meeting planners.
