The results of Warsaw in terms of business tourism in the first half of 2023

The results of Warsaw in terms of tourism and business in the first half of 2023 are proof of the development and growing attractiveness of the city on the international arena.During this time, 11 MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions) events have been confirmed in our capital, attracting many delegates to the city, generating over 7,300 overnight stays. The estimated value of these overnight stays exceeded PLN 2,600,000, which indicates great interest in Warsaw as a meeting and conference venue.

We observe a systematic increase in interest in Warsaw among international meeting organizers. Among other things, thanks to our efforts, Warsaw is slowly starting to rebuild its position on the international MICE market, after the collapse caused by the pandemic and the crisis related to the war in Ukraine.

We are constantly working to speed up this process. In the first half of 2023, the Warsaw Convention Bureau took many initiatives to promote Warsaw as a place for business events and conferences.

For example, we took part in IMEX 2023, one of the world’s most important fairs for the meetings and incentive travel industry. Participation in this event enabled us to promote Warsaw on the international scene and establish contacts with key decision-makers from the MICE industry.

Additionally, during the congress of the European Society of Laryngology (ELS) in Milan, which took place from 8 to 10 May 2023, we promoted Warsaw as the venue for the future ELS congress in 2025.

We also actively participated in the Academy of International Business (AIB) conference at the Warsaw School of Economics. We had a stand with materials promoting Warsaw and informing participants about its attractions.

In addition, we were involved in the organization of the 19th European AIDS Conference (#EACS2023), scheduled for October 18-21, 2023 in Warsaw, where we provided support to the organizers.

We are constantly active in social media, including LinkedIn, where we publish the latest offers of our members, promote events of which we are partners, such as the Warsaw Students’ Neurosurgical International Conference, and share information about our activities.

We are convinced that the dynamic development of Warsaw as a place for MICE events is visible and appreciated on the international arena. We believe that our actions will contribute to even greater interest in Warsaw and to rebuilding its position as one of the leading places for meetings and conferences in Europe.
