Warsaw to Host HYPOTHESIS 2026 for the First Time in Poland

Warsaw will welcome one of the world’s leading conferences dedicated to hydrogen technologies and the future of clean energy. From 23–27 August 2026, the 21st International Symposium HYPOTHESIS – Hydrogen Power Theoretical and Engineering Solutions will take place at the Institute of Heat Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology.

First launched in Italy in 1995, the HYPOTHESIS conference series has been hosted by countries including Norway, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Greece, Cuba, Japan and Mexico. The 2026 edition marks the first time the symposium will be held in Poland, with Warsaw serving as the host city.

The event is organised by the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) and the Warsaw University of Technology. Over nearly three decades, HYPOTHESIS has established itself as a recognised international platform bringing together researchers, industry leaders and public sector representatives to discuss hydrogen technologies, synthetic fuels, decarbonisation and climate neutrality.

The conference will be chaired by Prof. Jakub Kupecki, Director of the National Centre for Nuclear Research, with Prof. Jarosław Milewski serving as Co-Chair. The scientific programme will feature internationally recognised experts, including Prof. Jack Brouwer (UCI Clean Energy Institute, University of California, Irvine) and Prof. Michel Cassire (Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris).

Hosting HYPOTHESIS 2026 further strengthens Warsaw’s position as a destination for high-profile scientific and technology-focused meetings, reinforcing the city’s growing role within the international meetings industry.
