Warsaw Convention Bureau at IMEX Frankfurt 2026

From 19 to 21 May 2026, the Warsaw Convention Bureau participated in IMEX Frankfurt, one of the world’s leading trade shows for the meetings, congress and incentive travel industry. This year’s edition brought together representatives of destinations, venues, hotels, technology companies, agencies and event organisers from around the world at Messe Frankfurt.

Polish Representation at the National Stand

The Warsaw Convention Bureau, together with the Mazovia Convention Bureau, presented the meetings and events offering of Warsaw and the Mazovia Region at the Polish National Stand, organised by the Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourism Organisation. The Polish delegation also included regional and city convention bureaux, DMCs, congress centres, conference hotels and LOT Polish Airlines. Szczecin Convention Bureau was the special partner of this year’s presentation.

Three Days of B2B Meetings

The three days of the trade show were primarily devoted to intensive B2B meetings with international hosted buyers, congress organisers and representatives of the MICE industry. Discussions focused on specific projects and requests for proposals, recommendations of local partners, opportunities to organise study visits and site inspections, as well as the various forms of support available to event organisers.

IMEX Frankfurt also provided an opportunity to showcase Warsaw as a destination offering modern conference and hotel infrastructure, a diverse range of event venues and extensive opportunities for organising business events, congresses and incentive programmes. Direct conversations with planners made it possible not only to present the potential of the Polish capital, but also to strengthen relationships with partners and work towards attracting further international events to Warsaw.

Scale of the Event

This year’s edition once again confirmed the importance of IMEX Frankfurt to the global meetings industry. The trade show welcomed 4,739 buyers from 94 countries, including 3,731 hosted buyers, while 73,000 business meetings took place over the course of the three-day event. Agencies represented the largest group of buyers (68%), followed by corporate representatives (16%) and association organisers (10%).

Participation in IMEX Frankfurt 2026 was another element of the Warsaw Convention Bureau’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Warsaw’s international position as a competitive MICE destination and to attract new conferences, congresses and business events to the Polish capital.
