Nuclear Inter Jura Congress 2024 in Warsaw
**Nuclear Inter Jura 2024: „The Renaissance of New Nuclear Projects – Seeking New Approaches to Legal Challenges and Regulatory Effectiveness”**
From November 3-7, 2024, Warsaw will host the 25th edition of the recurring congress of the International Nuclear Law Association (INLA), a leading international event that gathers representatives from public administration, regulatory authorities, organizations, nuclear energy specialists, lawyers, scientists, and others engaged in nuclear law.
The aim of the Congress is to promote research on legal issues associated with the peaceful use of nuclear energy and to encourage information exchange in this field. The event will focus on topics such as nuclear safety, environmental protection law, civil liability for nuclear damage and insurance in the nuclear energy sector, radiological protection and radioactive waste management, financing new projects, physical protection of nuclear facilities, and transport of nuclear materials.
This year, Nuclear Inter Jura will be held in Poland for the first time, co-organized by the Lower Silesian Institute for Energy Studies (DISE). The event presents an opportunity to attract the attention of companies from various sectors providing services for the nuclear industry, potential investors, and employers for the domestic market, as well as to build a national supply chain. It is also a chance to foster development in science, education, organizations, and essential personnel in an interdisciplinary dimension.
Discussing the best solutions for the nuclear sector is particularly crucial in the face of the urgent energy transition and Poland’s nuclear energy program, intended to be a long-term guarantee of energy security and system stability. The upcoming „Nuclear Inter Jura” Congress could play a key role in preparing national entities and institutions to fulfill the tasks within this program. Achieving the goals of energy transition is not feasible without effective international cooperation, business partnerships, stable financing mechanisms, specialized workforce training, and public acceptance of nuclear projects.
