We proudly present to you 7th edition of ‘Warsaw Meetings Industry’ report. This year’s publication once again shows that Warsaw is one of the fastest developing MICE destinations in Central-Eastern Europe. Comparing to previous report the amount of data collected to this edition has increased by nearly 35%, resulting in detailed information about 12 896 conferences, congresses, trade shows and events that took place in Warsaw in 2012. Due to challanging data sourcing process this is probably less then ⅓ of the total estimated number of meeting held in Polish capital. It is Warsaw Convention Bureau’s ambition to increase the number of meetings described in the report one year after another.
Great cultural, political and sport events hosted in Warsaw in last three years helped a lot building strong position of the city among other European MICE destinations. And although Chopin Year 2010, Polish Presidency of EU Council 2011 and UEFA EURO 2012™ might have disrupted stable routine of local conference season, the long term benefits for the city image and incoming business are obvious, even today. That is why we are looking forward to hosting UN Climate Change Conference COP 19 and 13th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Warsaw this year.
We hope that this report will be one of many references giving enough reasons to choose Warsaw as your next meetings destination.
