Alex Kloszewski - founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Warsaw Destination Alliance and also the Head of the Hotel and Hospitality Division in Colliers International Poland.
From the very beginning of his career he was involved in projects connected with the Hospitality and Tourism industry, as well as mixed-use Retail, Hotel, Entertainment and Conference Centers. He started his career in 1973 in Marriott Hotels and Resorts where during 11 years of training he climbed the corporate ladder and gained the core of his professional growth. In 1985 he was awarded the position of General Manager in the Wyndham Trammel Crow Hotel in San Antonio. Then in 1991 he came back to Poland and took the position of General Director of the Radisson Hotel and Pazim World Trade Center in Szczecin where he was responsible both for the planning and implementation of a pre-opening strategy.
In 1995 he started his adventure within the Caribbean & Latin American retail and hotel market, first of all taking the position of General Manager ('95-'98) in the Radisson Aruba Caribbean Hotel and then Regional Vice President and General Director of Wyndham Aruba Beech Resort & Casino ('98-'00), being responsible for development and market expansion in both hotels. In 2000 he became Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Director for Development in Global Hotels Development Group Poland, where his mission was to operate and develop Six Continents brands in Poland, i.e. Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn. He was then promoted to Chief Executive Officer and President of the company. In 2002 he took the position of General Manager in International Hotels Group Warsaw where he was responsible for the implementation of pre-opening and growth strategies.
His present employment is with Colliers International Poland, where he is the Head of the Hotel and Hospitality Division, which provides full service consulting and appraisal services for the hotel industry. In 2003 he founded Warsaw Destination Alliance.
He is married with three children. His hobbies are: running, yoga, reading, mentoring and... love for the family.
