Recently IMEX Challenge project hosted by Warsaw has come to the end. The idea of the project was connected with the corporate social responsibility (CSR) and was created especially for the professionals associated with the meetings industry to enable them to support local communities through the direct involvment of volunteers. Thanks to this, instead of gathering money and financing changes, people representing the meetings industry complemented the changes in person. Apart from Warsaw Convention Bureau, the local partners of the project, include Radisson Blu Hotel Crakov and the „Nasz Dom” Society („Our Home” Society).

Project works were held in the Substitute Family Home in Wesoła, where 13 children live and 7 of them found foster parents here. 13 representatives of meetings industry from all over the world, together with the local partners in 3 days created and equipped a playground for children and revitalized the garden and the area around the house. Meanwhile the inhabitants of the house went for a trip to Cracov, which was coordinated by Radisson Blu Hotel Cracov.

Participants of the project took part in sighseeing combined with elements of a city game and active tourism, which was organised: in Warsaw by Warsaw Convention Bureau and in Mazovia region by Convention Bureau of Poland. Participants had a chance to get to know the possibilities of the city and region as a business tourism destination.
