This year's IMEX-MPI Future Leaders Forum conference, held on April 20th, was opened by Anna Witkowska the Vice Director of Warsaw Tourist Office. The motto of the fifth edition was "Be like Chopin - Compose your future."
110 students from all over Poland came to Warsaw to attend the conference and listen to industry experts, both from Europe and from Poland. The conference aimed to introduce the most important issues in the meetings industry and to present job opportunities in areas such as: destination marketing, conference organization and incentive travel.
The closing of the air space above Europe prevented foreign guests from participating in the conference. Thanks to teleconferencing all of the speakers, among them Tom Hulton, the coordinator of Future Leaders Forum since 4 years, managed to be at least virtually present. The rest of the speakers - Maria Jacobssen (Manager of MPI branches), Jurriaen Sleijster (MCI Vice-chairman), Ruud Janssen (managing director & ©TNOC Owner | The New Objective Collective) provided valuable information about the beginnings of their careers in the meetings industry.
The Polish speakers included Wojciech Liszka (Director of Sales and Marketing Department Radisson BLU Hotel Cracow), El┐bieta Czarnocka (Manager of Shopping, Polpharma) and Krzysztof Celuch (WSEI academic teacher and the CB Poland Manager).
Partners of the conference were: Warsaw Convention Bureau, Convention Bureau of Poland, Polish Tourism Organization and MPI Poland Club.
