The event is organized by European Wind Energy Association, which actively promotes the utilization of the wind power around the world. Thanks to EWEA’s appreciation of the work and action of Polish Wind Power Association, the conference will be held in Warsaw for the first time. The choice of Poland also results from the opportunities that lie ahead for our country and from the fact of noticing and appreciating by the Polish governmental structures of the influence of the wind power industry on the technological development, the climate protection, the energetic independence and the growth of business and employment opportunities.

The EWEC 2010 conference with its few thousand participants, is the most important meeting point for the international wind power industry. It brings together decision-makers, industry professionals and technical experts to discuss the latest industry trends and new directions for industry development as well as to exchange information and make new contacts.

EWEC 2010 will be also the first international event held in Warsaw on such a large scale, prepared and conducted in accordance with the Sustainable Meetings Standards BS 8901.
